Police in Britain have identified the three men who went on the rampage at London Bridge on Saturday night, killing1 7 people and injuring about 50. The attackers were
shot dead by police, after mowing2 down their victims with a van and stabbing them at random3 inside pubs and restaurants. Britain's most senior anti-terrorism officer,
Mark Rowley, said 8 special officers had fired an unprecedented4 50 bullets at the men who were wearing fake suicide belts.
The police have made 12 arrests in East London, where they are continuing to search properties. They've also carried out controlled explosions. It's emerged that
foreign nationals were among those killed. One was French, another Canadian. 36 of those injured are still in hospital, with 21 in a critical condition.
The American star, Ariana Grande, whose show in Manchester was hit by a suicide bomber5 two weeks ago, has been back on stage again in the English city to play a huge benefit concert for victims of the attack along with some of the biggest names in music. Artists have been telling the crowd of some 50000 people that hatred6 and fear will not be allowed to win.
In other news, tens of thousands of people have attended a candle-lit vigil in Hong Kong to mark the 28th anniversary of the Square Masscare in Beijing. Hong Kong is
the only place in China where people are allowed to mark the incident.
