　　Out of boredom¹, Luc Besson started to write stories,  出于无聊，吕克贝松开始写起小说，

　　including the backdrop to what later became one of his most popular movies, The Fifth Element.  这其中的作品就包括他最受欢迎的电影之一《第五元素》。

　　Besson directed and cowrote the screenplay of this science fiction thriller² with the screenwriter, Robert Mark Kamen.  这部科幻惊悚片是由吕克贝松执导的，并同编剧罗伯特·马克·卡门共同撰写了该剧的剧本。

　　The film is inspired by the French comic books Besson read as a teenager.  该片是受他十几岁阅读的一本法国漫画书的启发而来。

　　Luc had been nominated for Best Director and Best Picture Cesar Awards for his films Leon and The Messenger (the Story of Joan of Arc),  他因电影《这个杀手不太冷》和《圣女贞德》被提名为凯撒奖的最佳导演和最佳电影，

　　but won Best Director and Best French Director for his film The Fifth Element. 并凭借电影《第五元素》获得最佳导演及最佳法国导演奖。
